Born and raised in Peoria, IL, Miss Laura’s love for dance began at the age of three. She trained in a wide range of styles including ballet, jazz, contemporary, modern, lyrical, hip hop, acro, and tap, and spent six years competing before transitioning to pre-professional ballet training at Peoria Ballet. During her time there, she performed in numerous classical and contemporary works in lead roles such as Snow Queen, Dew Drop, Swanhilda, Cinderella, Spanish Lead, and Paquita. Miss Laura has attended ballet summer intensives at Butler Ballet, A&A Ballet, and Sacramento Ballet. As well as studied with esteemed instructors from companies such as Alabama Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Sacramento Ballet, American Ballet Theater, Philadelphia Ballet, and Joffrey Ballet. She is currently pursuing a degree in Health Science with minors in Dance and Nutrition at the University of South Florida, where she continues to combine her academic interests with her passion for movement and wellness. In addition to her dance background, Miss Laura is was a competitive figure skater at USF. As a teacher, she aims to inspire students with a strong technical foundation while encouraging creativity, confidence, and a lifelong love for the arts.
